Terms of Use

I Gift Aid is the trading name of HEART Humanitarian Foundation. This policy is the same one published at hearthumanitarianfoundation.org, because it is the same organisation.

Last updated: 13 September 2026

These terms govern your use of our websites and the services HEART Humanitarian Foundation offers through them. By using them you accept these terms.

They apply to hearthumanitarianfoundation.org, igiftaid.org, my.igiftaid.org — the secure area where approved applicants sign in and request a payment — and the WhatsApp service we operate under the I Gift Aid name.

1. About us

HEART Humanitarian Foundation is a nonprofit corporation registered in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (entity 0015475201, incorporated 14 May 2026) and a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity (EIN 42-2670441). We also operate under the registered name “I Gift Aid” (Pennsylvania registration 0015492886).

2. What we do and do not do

We assess applications from families in need, create sponsored fundraising campaigns for those we approve, and transfer funds raised to them.

HEART Humanitarian Foundation is not a bank, a payment processor, a money services business or a financial institution. Donations are processed by third-party platforms under their own terms. We do not provide financial, legal, immigration or medical advice.

3. Applying for assistance

Applying does not create any entitlement to assistance. We decide which applications to approve, and we may decline an application without giving reasons. Approving an application is not a promise that a campaign will raise any particular amount, or any amount at all.

You must give us information that is true and complete. Giving us false information, impersonating someone else, or submitting an application on behalf of a household without their knowledge will result in the application being refused and may be reported to the relevant authorities.

We never charge applicants or beneficiaries a fee of any kind, at any stage. Anyone asking you to pay to apply, to be prioritised, or to release funds is not acting for us.

3.1 Your account in the secure area

If we approve your application we give you access to a secure area at my.igiftaid.org, where you can see your campaign and ask us to send you a payment. That access is personal to you and to the household named in your application. Do not share your sign-in link or code with anyone. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has it.

We may suspend access where we reasonably believe it is being used by someone other than you, or to obtain money dishonestly.

3.2 Asking to be paid

You decide when to ask for a payment and how much, up to the amount raised and available. We check each request before sending it. A request is not a payment, and we may pause one while we complete checks the law requires of us, or where something about the request does not match what we hold.

Money raised is the charity's property until we pay it out. We will not transfer it to anyone other than the approved applicant or a person you have asked us to pay in writing and we have agreed to.

3.3 ⚠ Payment details are your responsibility, and payments cannot be reversed

Where you ask to be paid in cryptocurrency, you give us the wallet address to send it to. Please read this part carefully.

We will send to the address you give us. We cannot check that an address belongs to you, and we do not warrant that it does. If you are not confident about this, ask us before you submit anything — we would far rather answer a question than lose a family's money.

If you would prefer to be paid another way, tell us.

3.4 Keeping us up to date

Tell us if your wallet address, phone number or circumstances change. We act on what you have told us, and an out-of-date detail is the most common way a payment goes astray.

4. Donations

Donations are voluntary gifts to HEART Humanitarian Foundation and become the property of the charity on receipt. We apply them to our charitable purposes. Where a donation is given for a specific campaign we will apply it to that campaign, and if that is not possible we will apply it to a comparable purpose.

Donations are generally not refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error or without authorisation, contact us promptly at Info@HeartHumanitarianFoundation.Org and we will consider it in good faith.

Contributions are deductible under Internal Revenue Code section 170 to the extent allowed by law. We are not able to advise you on your own tax position.

5. Sanctions, anti-money-laundering and lawful transfer

As a United States charity we are bound by United States sanctions law. We screen beneficiaries and counterparties against applicable lists, including those administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and against other applicable international measures.

We will not transfer funds where doing so would breach those measures. Where a licence or other lawful basis is needed before funds can move, we obtain it or we do not proceed. We may pause, withhold or decline any transfer, and may report it, in order to comply.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use this website to break the law, to impersonate anyone, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or those of our providers, to interfere with the site's operation, or to harvest information from it by automated means.

7. Third-party services and links

Our operations rely on services run by other organisations. They include Stripe and PayPal (donations), Intuit QuickBooks (our accounts), Plaid (reading our own bank account), Kraken (converting funds before a payment), Sumsub (identity checks), Anthropic (the AI assistant described in our Privacy Policy), Adobe Acrobat Sign (application forms), Microsoft 365, Cloudflare, Hetzner and Railway (email and hosting), Resend and Brevo (sending email), WhatsApp and Meta, and crowdfunding platforms.

This site itself embeds nothing. It is a set of static pages. It links out to the crowdfunding platforms that host our campaigns, currently Chuffed and GoFundMe, and to our sister site hearthumanitarianfoundation.org. Once you follow a link you are on someone else's service, governed by their terms and privacy policy.

Each organisation named above is governed by its own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for their content or their conduct. Our Privacy Policy section 4 sets out what each one receives.

8. Intellectual property

The name HEART Humanitarian Foundation, the HEART logo, and the content of this website belong to us or are used with permission. You may not use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you, or to solicit money, without our written consent.

9. No warranty

This website is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the information on it is complete or current at every moment.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HEART Humanitarian Foundation is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the United States. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Pennsylvania.
